The first goal of the game came from Alessandro Diamanti, who was given a golden opportunity by Antonio Candra to break through the Lazio defence, but he failed to connect with a pinpoint effort from 20 yards.
The second goal came from Andrea Barzagli, who struck the ball into the path of Andrea Icardi, who found a perfect spot to head home.
Lazio will now travel to Brescia for a friendly on Saturday, which will be an important game for Milan’s chances of making the Champions League.
The Rossoneri are now just three points behind Lazio in the table, but have now won just one of their last six matches in Serie A.
