As she celebrates her 26th year in the limelight, Miss Universe winner Miss Universe Canada, whose birth name is Vanessa E. Kite, is one of only a handful of women to have won the crown at the show.
Her coronation ceremony is set for Sunday at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.
It will be broadcast live on ABC.
Kites win in 2018: The Miss Universe pageant is held every three years.
That means Kites, who won the title in 2017, will be competing for the crown again in 2018.
But Kites has a lot to live up to.
The Miss World beauty queen is a master at staying focused and keeping her mind on the task at hand, her husband, Michael Kite told ABC News in a statement.
Her biggest challenge is learning to keep up with the expectations of the world.
“She is so determined and so focused on the beauty pageant and making sure she stays focused on that,” Michael Kine said.
“We are really looking forward to seeing how she goes with that.
But she’s also very driven.”
For years, Kites and her husband have had to fight to keep her in the spotlight.
They started with a reality show in 2015, but it didn’t last long.
Kinesons husband quit the show in 2018, and the couple has been searching for a new home for their daughter, who they hope to have by 2020.
They are considering the idea of having her live in a different country.
The beauty queen has also had to contend with a number of celebrity death threats.
Kieslons most recent death threat came in January, after the actress, who was born in London, England, and has three children from previous marriages, posted a photo of her and her three children in a wedding dress on Instagram.
Kates Twitter account was hacked in January.
The threats were so persistent that Kiess husband, who is also an actor, canceled his upcoming tour of the United States, and Kites was forced to cancel a concert with fellow beauty queen Alyssa Milano.
“The threats were just relentless,” Michael Skelton said.
Kries to continue working as Miss Universe 2018: Kites is scheduled to appear at the Miss Universe event on Saturday.
She is expected to make her first appearance as a Miss Universe crown winner in 2019.
Kats was awarded the title by the International Miss Universe Organization (IMO), a global organization that oversees the pageant, in October, the day after her win.
The organization announced the announcement of the crown on its official Twitter account.
Kikes coronation is a major milestone for the world of beauty and is the first time a woman has been crowned Miss Universe since the organization began in 1970.
“With this coronation, I feel as though we are truly at the pinnacle of beauty.
I am so grateful to the entire IMO family for being part of my coronation,” Kates said in a video released to mark the occasion.
“This is truly a day of celebration for me and my husband, our daughters and all of our family.
We will continue to fight hard and never stop working for our country.”
